PILATES AND NATURAL ALIGNMENT

Pilates was my first love in the realm of body therapy. It was the first methodical s for injury-proofing, and I love how it can be autonomous a self-discovery


I teach and practice Pilates with a different sensibility than I started with, due to my current understanding of what is most functional for our bodies.

Classical Pilates: I was taught in the classical tradition by Carol Appel, a Romana student, and then went on to study with many others in varying traditions. I suspect that there exist some very experienced (perhaps truly "classical?") Pilates teachers with knowledge that makes any other methodologies superfluous. Personally  though, I ran into too many dead ends (or where the hypothetical goal of understanding was too mysterious and off in the dwindling distance of the galaxy somewhere) in my strictly Pilates search, so when I found a body of knowledge that can be grasped and put to use so quickly as Bowman's whole body alignment paradigm, this became my main focus for helping people. Pilates has become mostly for fun, to me.

Deep Aligned Pilates classes: Pre-screened by at least one private session with me, only $10 per class. It will be my own practice as well, with demo and verbal cues.
